Business Valuation
Fair. Reasonable. Logical.
IVS-aligned valuations signed by an Associate Chartered Valuer & Appraiser — for buyouts, fundraising, ESOPs, litigation and financial reporting. Most SME reports delivered in 1–3 weeks.
What we do
A number you can defend.
Here's the honest truth most valuers won't lead with: no two valuers will arrive at exactly the same valuation. Judgement is inherent. What separates a defensible valuation from a hopeful one is process — established standards, explicit assumptions, vetted information. That's what we sell.
How we value
- Market approach — comparable companies and precedent transactions
- Income approach — discounted cash flow built on assumptions you can trace
- Asset-based approach — adjusted net assets where earnings aren't the story
- Scenario analysis — for startups and intangibles where history is thin
Every engagement follows the same discipline: establish the basis of value, select methods that fit the purpose, vet the information, and document the sensitivities. Aligned with the International Valuation Standards (IVS).
When you need one
- Shareholder buyouts, exits and disputes
- Fundraising and investor negotiations
- Employee share option plans (ESOPs)
- Litigation support and expert evidence
- Financial reporting — purchase price allocation, impairment (SFRS/IFRS)
- Tax and stamp duty matters
What you get
A signed valuation report detailing methods, assumptions, sensitivities and conclusions — one that stands up when the other side's advisors start asking questions.
Questions we hear every week
How long does a valuation take?
1–3 weeks for most SME assignments after data room access. Complex structures, intangibles or litigation contexts take longer — we'll tell you upfront.
What information do you need?
Typically 3–5 years of financial statements, management accounts, the cap table and key contracts — and, critically, your cashflow projections or forecast. For income-approach valuations the forecast is the single most important input: its quality drives the quality of the number. We provide a checklist at engagement.
Will your number match another valuer's?
Probably not exactly — and anyone who promises otherwise is selling certainty that doesn't exist. Standards-aligned process narrows the range and makes every assumption defensible.
